Halloween party no 1

Blimey what a busy morning we've had today - 2 halloween parties in 1 morning!

First off was a party at my Thursday childminding group. Charlotte decorated a pumpkin biscuit, then ate it straight away!

Then it was time for a game of eat the marshmallow without using your hands!!

Then one of the other ladies had organised a treasure hunt for a sweetie prize - funnily enough Miss Charlotte was the first one back in! Not that she likes sweet things or anything!

From that party we went into another room at the Children's Centre where they were holding another Halloween party. It was manic! They were expecting around 50 children + parents & there must have been at least 70 little ones squeezed in the room!

We met up with Grace, Charlotte's friend from preschool.

Animal Show

Thatcham Children's Centre were hosting an Animal Show during 1/2 term which I thought Charlotte & George would enjoy. It was supposed to be a Meg & Mog puppet show but they forgot to tell the chap doing it so he didn't have any of the props for that!

Instead, we got to meet lots of creepy crawlies & a couple of softies.

There was Nick the Stick insect....
Boris the tarantula (funnily enough he kept this one in the box!).

There was also a millipede, a hissing cockroach, an african giant land snail and a snake. None of which Charlotte wanted to touch or stroke, but George had a go.
Lastly the cuddly animals came out & Charlotte dove in to have a go. Here is the pet rat..

And finally the gorgeous bunny....

Helping tidy the garden ready for Winter

Here are the littlies helping me tidy the garden to get ready for Winter. They picked up all the fallen apples from our tree & popped them in the basket while I was finally getting rid of all the dead veggie plants.

Day with The Bedfords

Spent the day with Ames & her littlies (or not so little in Em's case as she's now almost a teenager!). Had a lovely day, went to the park for some fun & collected some leaves, then came home for hot choccies & biccies & some arts & crafts.

Loving Miss Charlotte's new strawberry hat that Auntie Lisa bought in Greenwich market - she loves it & wears it all the time!

Charlotte & George being quite delicate little flowers as always! They were standing on a little hill shouting!

Em & her 2 little helpers collecting leaves.

Arts & crafts with the leaves back at Amy's.

How to bake a Mustang cake

So, Mr Tucker informed me that I needed to make a cake for the 1 year anniversary of our local West Berks Mustang meets & I needed to somehow put a Mustang emblem on the top - oh goody! Miss Charlotte helped me make a yummy chocolate & banana cake.....

Then I made some butter frosting & Charlotte dusted all over the top with cocoa powder with a mustang emblem cut out of paper. We were supposed to take off the paper shape & leave the shape on the cake, but Miss C was a little over eager with the dusting, so we left it on!! Never mind, everyone enjoyed the cake anyways - it was super yummy!

A cool pic of Mr T's mean Mustang!

Princess Charlotte!

Well I never thought that the day would come when my little car mad tomboy would be all girlie. But the day arrived! Here's Charlotte having a playdate with her preschool friend Grace & having lots of fun choosing princess outfits to wear.

Don't they look gorgeous, Charlotte as Snow White, Grace as a Bride.
Even George wanted to dress up, here he is as Belle.

They then put some Disney Princess music on & danced "gracefully" around!!

Wellington Country Park - Autumn Visit

A gorgeous but cold Autumn Monday morning & we decided to go to Wellington Country Park for probably the last time this year. Jenn & Nic met us there for an afternoon of fun in the park.

Here they are getting friendly with the locals!

Miss Charlotte having fun in the park.

They had a great game of drive thru shopping where Nic was the shopkeeper & all the kids lined up their Cosy Coupe cars in a row & took it in turn buying things from the shop. Here's Nic telling Charlotte that what she wanted isn't in stock!

Saying hello to more of the locals!

Being lions & very loud!

Birthday Party Fun

Charlotte was invited to our neighbour's 6th birthday party at a local play centre. She had sooo much fun playing as usual.

The crawl through tunnel was a hit, but she wasn't crawling through it!!

Feeding the Birdies

Now that Autumn is well & truly here, it's time to top up the bird feeder so the birdies have plenty to nibble on in the coming cold months.

Girls' weekend at Auntie Lisa's

Charlotte & I had a fantastic weekend at Auntie Lisa's in Blackheath. Nanny Jen came too for a proper girlie weekend.

Sat afternoon Auntie Lisa & Nanny Jen took Charlotte for a walk in Greenwich Park where she saw deer, squirrels & magic fairy trees!

After her bath, Charlotte & Auntie Lisa sat down to play the Maisie game Lisa had bought Charlotte.

Time for milk before bed. Charlotte was allowed to stay up a little later than normal, watching X Factor with us! She was in bed by 9 & went straight to sleep in Auntie Lisa's bed. When I joined her later, she woke briefly, started kicking me out of bed saying "get out of here, I want my Auntie Lisa to sleep here!"

Sunday, we fought our way through the traffic & rain of Greenwich to have a mooch around the market & met up with Uncle Josheeeeaaaaa & Uncle Bren for lunch in a local pub. Charlotte loved seeing the 2 men & was flirting madly with Josh all afternoon!

Back to Auntie Lisa's for a cuppa, then unfortunately it was time for us to go home.

We had such a lovely time, & can't wait to have another girlie weekend at the new house in Walthamstow.
