Twinkle Twinkle!

Charlotte "David Bailey" Tucker!

Charlotte has been asking to use my camera every time I use it, so we let her have a go this afternoon after getting back from the party.

Happy Birthday Callum & Daniel!

Lottie & I spent the day at Oliver, Callum & Daniel's house celebrating Callum & Daniel's 2nd bday (happy bday boys!).

Madam had lots of fun playing with Oliver & all their toys.

Auntie Lisa, check out her cool footwear!

She had 2 puddings, yummy bday cake & jelly & ice cream.

This is her ice cream freeze face!

Such a Poser!

What more can I say!

Wellington Country Park

Took the kids to Wellington Country Park just outside of Reading last Monday. Met up with Jenn & Nic there.

We had a fantastic day & will definately be going back there.

There were so many thkngs to do there that the kids didn't get bored at all. There was a toddlers play area with fun noise cushions that the kids enjoyed jumping on.

Unfortunately, Miss Charlotte fell off the cushions & grazed her knee, here's a pic of her just afterwards, feeling very sorry for herself.

Next the kids played on the wooden train, taking it in turns to be the driver....

Here's Lottie checking the engine as she thought it needed fixing.

Then we all had a go "driving" the blue tractor.

Then it was time for the adventure playground, lots of slides & balancing beams to play on.

We had a yummy picnic lunch, then while George had a nap in the buggy, Lottie & Nic spent almost an hour playing with the water troughs & the diggers...

Time for more walking around the park to see what we could find. After Nic rocketed down the biggest slide he has ever been on (Lottie was far too unsure to have a go!), he then found these fab tyre things that he spent ages going round in. He was a little unsteady on his feet afterwards!

We then walked around a corner to find Dino waiting for us in the trees. I had to go over & pat him to show Lottie that he wasn't real! She still wasn't too sure though & kept telling me he was moving!

She was a little more comfortable riding the horsey!

Last thing we did before leaving for home was a ride on the train. Funnily enough it was named Charlotte, just like our gorgeous little Madam.

One last visit to the adventure play area as it was by the entrance. Lottie & George found a little green caterpillar, which Lottie decided needed rescuing & putting back on a tree.

Then it was time for a Miss Charlotte melt down & tantrum as she reeeeeeeaaaallllly didn't want to go home! Oh well, she stopped soon after getting her in the car!

Thatcham Lakes

Another sunny afternoon, so piled the kids in the car & took them down to Thatcham Lakes. We took some food for the ducks, but they weren't looking too interested!
Then we took a walk around the lake & looked at the flowers growing beside the path.

We were lucky enough to see a little family of geese, Mummy & Daddy were quite protective of their 3 little babies & they were trying to find somewhere to get back into the lake, but a nasty big swan kept chasing them away from the water. Meant we got a good close look at them though!

Happy Birthday Oliver!

Took Oliver to local indoor play centre for his birthday treat (his choice!). So we stayed cool on another hot day. All the kids had a ball & were exhausted afterwards!

Another Day, Another New Hairstyle!

2 new hairstyles in a week, Lottie let me put her hair in bunches as well. You can't quite see them clearly in this pic, but she looked gorgeous!

Enjoying the sunshine

So we've finally been having some nice sunny weather - yippppeeee. We made the most of the sun by spending our days in the garden, including eating lunch & dinner out there.

We decorated some gingerbread men. Check out Lottie's hair, she has finally let me put it up in a pony tail as it kept her cooler on the very hot day. She looks soooo grown up!

Birthday Message for Uncle Charlie

It was Charlie's bday this weekend, we weren't able to go down to Somerset for the festivities, so Lottie recorded a birthday message for her fave uncle......

May Day

Met up with Jenn, Mat & Nic today & went into Newbury for lunch at Ask, then wandered on down to the canal where they were running the Crafty Craft Race. People make boats out of rubbish & bits n pieces & paddle them from Hungerford to Newbury. We only saw 1 boat as most of them must have gone through while we were busy eating lunch!

We then hit the fairground rides. Lottie & I had a go on the teacup ride (I was the only adult on it!). Boy did I feel dizzy afterwards!

Nic & Mat waiting soooo patiently for the bumper car ride to finish so they could jump into a car. They're wearing their "Man Hats", as it's officially Man-Day Monday!!

Lottie & Nic on the big bouncy castle, they had soooo much fun on this! The squeals you can hear are Lottie!!

Birthday Party

Charlotte went to a 4th birthday party on Saturday for one of her preschool friends, Calum.

There were lots of fun things to do, making crowns...........

Decorating yummy biscuits.......

And there was an entertainer. All the kids sat in front of him apart from Lottie who wasn't sure about the loud noise, so she sat on my lap like this at first.....

Did manage to get a few smiles out of her when he bought out the doggy puppet.....

Then it was time to eat & she was all smiles again!

Tucker Family Outing - Basildon Park

It's Nanny Bea's birthday this week so we met up at Basildon Park just outside of Pangbourne for a wander around the house & gardens & picnic lunch. Julie, Eric, Gemma & Zoe were there as well as Bea & Laurie.

The house & grounds are lovely at Basildon, not huge but lots of space to run around & play & they're happy for you to picnic on the lawn behind the house which is lovely. Will definately be going back there as it's so close to home.

On the walk through the woods back to the car park, we found an old tree stump that they had carved into a seat. Lottie couldn't resist having a little sit down on it.

Saying hello to the chickens......
