Birthday Bash #2

Our gorgeous 4 year old young lady
Today we held a family & friends bash for Charlotte's 4th birthday. Even Uncle Brendan was able to make it. However he did stand in the corner of the kitchen with his party hat on, asking us not to let the children anywhere near him!!!! We nominated him as the party clown for the day!!

Miss Charlotte blowing out her birthday candles..... Nanny Bea made the gorgeous birthday cake.

Maisie trying birthday cake for the very first time. She loved it, but not as much as the trifle!!!

Sully's Tea

Charlotte made her cuddly Sully a nice tea tonight!

No Preschool this morning

Some plonker decided to cut through a gas main in Newbury town centre this morning, causing traffic chaos in the area. After 40 minutes of sitting in traffic trying to get Charlotte and George to preschool, we gave up and came home again.

To make up for a missed preschool morning, we spent the time making "googly eyed monsters".

Happy Birthday Miss Charlotte, 4 today!

Wed 26th November 2008 - it's Charlotte's 4th birthday!!! Happy birthday Poppet.

Charlotte started her day by opening presents in bed with Mummy & Daddy. Then it was time for preschool with George, where they had cakes courtesy of Mummy to celebrate Charlotte's bday.

After preschool, we had invited a few of Charlotte's preschool friends around for a birthday lunch & games - pass the parcel & musical statues.

Charlotte & Megan, her best friend at preschool, they are inseparable!

Nic enjoying the hula hoops!

All together now - happy birthday!

The children playing musical statues!

After the fun & games, Charlotte, George, Jenn, Nic and I headed for Krazy Klub - a local play centre. The kids had a blast running around & a yummy tea. I did try and take some pics but they wouldn't stay still long enough!!

Dressing Up Fun

Charlotte & George have been doing lots of dressing up this week, but this is the first time in ages that she wanted to be a fairy princess. They were very cute & were "flying" around the room like real fairies!

Fun In The Park

We finally had some decent, dry weather, so packed the kids off to Thatcham Lakes on Wed afternoon to meet Nic & Jenn for some play time & to burn off some energy.

We fed the ducks, geese & swans, Nic & Jenn were inundated with hungry ducks!!

Birthday Party

It's been a busy time of year for birthday parties! Miss Charlotte was invited to 4 in November alone, not including her own!

Here is the car cake she decorated at one of them. She wanted it to look like Mater from Disney Cars.

Here she is about to leave for another party later on in the month. This was for Thomas' 4th birthday - one of her baby friends.

Happy Halloween!!

We had our annual street party for Halloween tonight. We all met next door for a mini photo shoot...

Then it was time for some trick or treating in our close. Here they are waiting for Paul to open the door.

We also popped round to Rachel & George's house where Rachel made us all jump by coming out with a big inflatable spider on her head with 2 "buckets of doom" filled with sweeties. The kids were all frightened & Charlotte said to her "are you George's Mummy?" as she didn't recognise her - excellent!
Then it was back to next doors for yummy chilli & jacket potatoes, then some sparklers & toasting marshmallows on the firepit in the garden.

Firework time next, we all popped over the road to watch Dan "the man" set off our fireworks. Charlotte finally enjoyed the fireworks this year, but still needed to wear ear defenders to muffle the sound. Her favourite one was the big rocket that Dan set off last, which ended up 1/2 buried in our back garden!
Watching the fireworks with Libby.

All in all a fab evening, looking forward to next year's party already.
