Foam party

We finally got some nice weather & decided to play in the garden all afternoon. I'd bought some shaving foam ages ago for the kids to have messy fun with, so out it came & messy they got!

Tea Party!

Charlotte & G decided to have a tea party for some of the animals - Gruffalo & Monkey. They pulled some leaves of the bushes & laid out the plates, feeding their pets!

Pet Snail!

Charlotte found a snail in the garden & made him a house in a toy frying pan. She put some grass & leaves as a bed for him & sat watching him for ages!

Legoland

Making the most of the fairly decent weather & our annual pass, we headed on over to Legoland for a 2nd trip, this time with George.

As schools are now back, the park was blissfully quiet, with only private school kids & preschoolers there - hundreds of buggies!

On the train down the hill into the park.

Jenn & Nic on the Viking ride, we were just about to squirt them with water!

Jenn after the ride looking wet!
Charlotte didn't want to have a go, so Nic asked if I'd like to go on the ride with him so I didn't miss out - sweet!

I'm looking a bit soggy! Was ok until the last corner when the boat thing tipped & all the water rushed to my seat!

Waiting patiently for the helicopters. No big long queue this time - yipppee!

Slide fun

Another afternoon at Thatcham Discovery Centre - we do love it there!

The kids were doing their slide game again, where they waited at the bottom until the others came down too.

Happy 4th Birthday Nic!

The day after getting back from Cornwall was Nic's 4th birthday. We headed on over to the Bookers for some nibbles & yummy cake while the kids ran riot!

Charlotte wanted bunches today for the 1st time. They were a bit wonky as I need more practice!

Ouch!!

Ouch, the BMW had an argument with a wall down a narrow country lane on the way to Paradise Park today.

Cornwall - Paradise Park

We finally had a sunny morning, so it was quick into the cars to a nearby farm park - Paradise Park. Lots of things for the kids to see & do.

Here is Miss Charlotte & Mummy waiting for the bird display to start.

The Gatenby family.

The bird show was fantastic. The barn owl flew between the spectators right in front of us!

A bald eagle.
We were able to get really close to the birds at the end of the display to look at them close up.

Young Master Gatenby on the train ride.

Cornwall! Day 4 - Lands End & Porthcurno Beach

We stayed close to home on Monday as the weather was so nasty, but Tuesday morning was sunny, but very windy, so we decided to take a trip to Lands End.

It's a bit windy!
But I can't see anything Daddy (the teliscope was pointing to the sea!).

A rare family pic.

After Lands End, we decided to have our picnic lunch on Porthcurno Beach which is close by.
Charlotte map reading "I can see the beach mummy, there it is".

Walking down to Porthcurno Beach hand in hand with Jacob.

After our yummy picnic, the kids & Charlie had a paddle in the sea & a play in the sand.

We had to dash back up the steps to the car park when we were hit with a heavy rain shower. It was a mass exodus! By the time we got to the cars, the sun was back out again but we were soaked! We were a funny sight in Morrisons looking like drowned rats & covered in sand!
